The Zelve Valley in Cappaoocia is definitely one of our favourite places to visit. It is also known as the Zelve open air museum. Zelve was a Byzantine-era settlement. The small area has fifteen Byzantine-era cave churches (the oldest dating to the IVth century) and remained a Turkish village till 1960.
