This was honestly so much fun! I got to learn so many new things about our culture. To be honest, I always thought masquerades were spirits, l used to be so scared of them. But now I know some of those smart dance steps and moves are actually humans behind the masks. Even at this festival, I wasn't allowed to go too close because women can only enter if they're holding sticks or known people who performed. It was still such a beautiful experience, especially as it was my first time I didn't stay
