Western monarchs, like migratory birds, make spectacular journeys — and we’re proud to join the Monarch Joint Venture in celebrating the release of Western Monarch Butterflies: Protecting Our Pollinators, a new film by Ian Nelson. ⁣ ⁣ Just as migratory birds rely on healthy stopovers to rest and refuel, western monarchs depend on habitats that provide the resources they need along their migration. El Rosario Sanctuary is the largest in Angangueo in Michoacán within the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve. It is located just 25 minutes by car, starting from the Magical Town of Angangueo.
