Once known as Booker T. Washington High School, our building holds nearly a century of legacy. Founded in 1925 with support from the Rosenwald Fund, it became the first dedicated school for African-American students in Texarkana. By 1930, the school had launched its football and basketball teams under the proud Lions name. Notable alumni include Willie Davis, Green Bay Packers legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer; Silas Herbert Hunt, the first black student admitted to the University of Arkansa
