She was very weak and could not walk, that is probably why she was left. Yesterday was a busy day at Magnolia Fawn Rescue. We took in three rescued fawns. One had injuries from a dog and passed shortly after arriving, another fawn was orphaned but doing well, the third fawn was found very weak and dehydrated with his dead twin. I was hoping that the fawn's crying would call the mother, but she had passed near by and that is what drew the vultures in. The homeowner chased the vultures away all morning to protect the fawn. I have rescued many fawns from vultures and there has always been a mother or twin that has passed first.
