Best suited for heating sandwiches, chicken, steak, and wraps, the panini press's two grooved cast iron plates come together to imprint appetizing grill lines. The top plate presses down easily on top of food and retracts quickly with the help of a spring hinge; the operator can grab the handle on the top plate to open or close it.
