The TCL QM8 is a great value TV with a mini-LED backlight and excellent local dimming. It gets insanely bright and HDR support is available, but Dolby Vision is not yet able to achieve a 4K 144Hz output. The setup is simple and the TV is thin, but the built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet ports are useful. The TV is also very bright and has a nice design, but the blob artifact can be too distracting for some.
