The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency sent out a text alert Friday afternoon saying that the state's 911 system is not functioning properly.

All 911 calls are reaching dispatchers in Allegheny County after Pennsylvania faced​ a statewide "intermittent" 911 outage on Friday.

Pennsylvania is experiencing "intermittent" statewide 911 outages, officials confirmed on Friday. The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency confirmed on social media there are “some outages” and they are working to resolve the issue and restore service.

PEMA Director Randy Padfield said in a news conference that officals sent out a statewide alert out of an "abundance of caution" after issues were noted with some 911 calls getting through on Friday.
