The NCAA has charged the University of Memphis with academic integrity violations – committed by its men’s basketball and softball programs.

The NCAA has placed the University of Memphis athletic department on probation for two years and levied financial penalites because of academic integrity violations in the men's basketball and softball programs.

The NCAA is penalizing the University of Memphis men’s basketball and softball teams for academic integrity violations. The NCAA found that former Memphis academic counselor Leslie Brooks paid two softball student-athletes to complete coursework for and provide test or quiz answers to a men’s basketball student-athlete.
