Residents in neighborhoods across Chicago celebrate summer and Independence Day by setting off fireworks Friday night.

At least seven people were wounded in shootings across Chicago during the Fourth of July weekend, according to police. The ages of the victims range from 20 to 52.

The vigil for Taylor Walker was held the evening after the mass shooting in the city’s River North neighborhood. Walker, 26, was among four killed.

Four individuals were killed and 14 more injured in the shooting, which took place outside the Artis Restaurant and Lounge on Wednesday evening.

Four people were killed and 14 more were hospitalized in a drive-by mass shooting late on Wednesday, July 2, police in Chicago said. Three of the victims are in critical condition. Someone opened fire into a crowd standing outside a venue in Chicago's River North neighborhood at about 11 p.m., police said, and the black SUV immediately drove away.
