Former Arsenal footballer Thomas Partey has been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, police in the United Kingdom said.

Thomas Partey, who formerly played for English Premier League soccer club Arsenal, has been charged with rape and sexual assault, London's Metropolitan Police said on Friday.

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been charged with multiple allegations of rape against three women, the CPS has revealed. The 32-year-old has been charged following a lengthy Metropolitan Police investigation. Scotland Yard said the allegations relate to three separate women who reported incidents which took place between 2021 and 2022.
