According to a new leak, Nintendo is planning to announce the Switch 2 in early October and will charge $400 for the new console.

The price of the Nintendo Switch 2 may have just leaked. While Nintendo has formally acknowledged it is working on a new console, and teased that it is a successor to the Nintendo Switch, it hasn't revealed the machine nor relayed word on when it will unveil it.

Hat tip to Reddit for screenshotting this one, but the claim is Nintendo's Switch 2 will be announced early next month with a base price of $400. And moistycharlie thinks the console will also come in two different SKUs.

The Nintendo Switch 2 may already have plenty of hype surrounding its impending release, but it needs to nail one major act ahead of its launch.

While folks are digesting the recent Sony PlayStation 5 Pro announcement, Nintendo is in the background waiting for its own console reveal. A potential announcement may come as soon as this month, with a release timeframe in Spring of next year.
