IKEA is to open its latest plan and order point in Waterford next week. The new outlet, which will be located in the Tramore Road Business Park, will be the Swedish retailer's largest operation outside of Dublin. It is the seventh such smaller store that IKEA will have opened across the country, but it is eight times larger than existing sites.

IKEA U.S. announced plans for its third New York location at Destiny USA in Syracuse on the company's website on July 7. From Elmira, the drive to the new Syracuse store will take about 1 hour, 50 minutes. That's about half the estimated travel time to the IKEA in Paramus, NJ, the closest existing store.
