F orecasters are monitoring Hurricane Imelda, now a Category 1 hurricane, as it moves away from Bermuda, according to the National Hurricane Center. According to an early morning advisory on Thursday, Oct. 2 , from the NHC, the hurricane is located about 170 miles east-northeast of Bermuda.
