The company, now owned by a Chinese conglomerate, is investing $150 million in 19 American suppliers across 10 states.

The new contracts range between $330,000 and $41 million, and will go to suppliers providing plastics, castings and aluminum for GE Appliance's washers and dryers.

The appliance company plans to split up investments across suppliers and focus on steel, resins, parts and components in order to develop products.

It part of the company's plan to bring in more jobs and production from overseas and expand American manufacturing.
