ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - An earthquake jostled many residents in Southcentral Alaska on Thanksgiving morning. Measured at a preliminary magnitude 6.0, the quake struck at 8:11 a.m. about 26 miles southwest of Willow, according to the Alaska Earthquake Center, with a depth of 42.8 miles.

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network operates more than 600 seismic stations. The center in Alaska added an additional 250 stations, working with NOAA in real time to ensure warnings were accurate and timely.
