A man who was 19 when he fatally shot an Athol store owner during a botched robbery in 1980 has been granted parole from his life sentence, records show.

Police arrested a man on Catharine Street after reports of a man throwing dynamite from the window of a house.  Several officers converged on the area about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 2.
