As seen in this week’s Chagrin Fall police blotter, officers are investigating a Nov. 12 report by a resident stating a contractor stole $1,850 from him after not building a fence on his property and then repaying him with a bounced check.

A woman was found alive in a different state 14 years after she was reported missing in Iowa, police announced on Tuesday. The Des Moines Police Department announced that the woman, whose identity was not disclosed, was found "alive and well" in Nebraska. She disappeared during a trip to visit family in Iowa in 2011.

As seen in this week’s Bainbridge Township police blotter, The Valley Enforcement Group is investigating a two-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 62-year-old Bainbridge Township woman on Nov. 6.

The woman was on a Chicago Transit Authority Blue Line train "when she was involved in a verbal altercation with an approximately 45-year-old male," police said.
