As major league baseball prepares to hit the midway point of the season and the best in ‘The Show’ this year in Atlanta for the mid-summer classic. The Mid-South will be well represented with two big leaguers.

The A's will have a second representative at the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, as Brent Rooker was named an All-Star as the American League's second DH today. He will join A's shortstop Jacob Wilson in Atlanta later this month.

Brent Rooker is heading to the Midsummer Classic for the second time in his career. The former Mississippi State star, who now plays for the Athletics, was named to the American League All-Star team as a reserve.
