But Sony didn’t leave us empty-handed in the smartphone department at Mobile World Congress this year. In addition to the headline-worthy Z4 Tablet was an unassuming mid-ranger called the M4 Aqua.

Sony has thrown a Bluetooth keyboard into the box of the Xperia Z4 Tablet. It makes it a much more productivity built choice offering you a much better experience at typing.

Sony makes a Bluetooth keyboard — the BKB50 — to pair with the Z4, and if productivity is what you want out of your tablet it won't set your world on fire but it gets the job done.

On a larger tablet like this one, at 10.1-inches, adding some extra resolution is very worthwhile, so it's nice to see Sony go with a 2K screen (2560 x 1600) and it looks absolutely stunning.

On the software side of things, the Xperia Z4 Tablet is running Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with Sony’s Xperia UI on top, which remains one of the best Android skins out there.

And here the Sony doesn’t do as well. At R10 999 (without accessories), the 32GB Z4 Tablet is R300 more expensive than the 64GB iPad Air 2. That’s a big price to pay for 45g less weight.
