Apple has also introduced a slimmer design for the Powerbeats Pro 2. The new earbuds feature adjustable ear hooks for a secure fit, making them more comfortable for extended use. The slimmer profile not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the earbuds but also improves their functionality by providing a more streamlined fit.

As we previously detailed, Powerbeats Pro 2 will have a built-in heart-rate sensor. The earbuds will send the user’s heart rate to the Apple Health app. For that, the user must be wearing both earbuds during workouts. Apple also plans to bring this technology to the next generation of AirPods Pro.

Meanwhile, MacRumors reports that the rumoured Powerbeats Pro 2 will also support the same functionality, based on details spotted on the latest iOS 18 RC. Users will also need to wear both earphones in order for the feature to work, while sharing heart rate information with fitness equipment — such as a treadmill — might also be supported.
