A tornado watch for all of southeast Wisconsin has expired. The watch was in effect until 7 p.m. Storms are expected to move into the western counties, such as Jefferson County, as early as 3 p.m. Severe weather is most likely along the leading edge of the line.

SAUK CITY, Wis. – Drone video shot Wednesday showed a tornado spinning up in Sauk City, Wisconsin. Footage showed debris being thrown 6,000 feet into the air as the twister formed and made its way across homes through the southern Wisconsin town. The tornado was one of several produced by severe storms moving through the Great Lakes region.

A tornado watch issued for part of southeast Wisconsin have been canceled. The watches for Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Racine, Walworth and Waukesha counties have been canceled.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Sheboygan County until 5:45 pm. Central Sheboygan

A confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado has been tracked near Mazomanie, Wisconsin, which is approximately 12 miles southwest of Sauk City. The twister is moving northeast at 30 mph, with radar indicating a strong rotation and significant damage potential.

Six tornadoes were reported from Wisconsin to Indiana on Wednesday, with the Wisconsin ones labeled as “large,” though no major damage or injuries have been reported.

A tornado watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for all of southeastern Wisconsin and is in effect until 7 p.m. this evening.

"To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building," the NWS warning issued by the Milwaukee office said. "Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris."
