Wimbledon has made the extraordinary move to break 148 years of tradition to honor Liverpool star Diogo Jota. Officials will allow players to break the tournament’s all white dress code to wear black armbands as a tribute to the Portuguese player who tragically lost his life on Thursday night.

Wimbledon officials blocked Portugal No 1 Nuno Borges’s request to wear a Portugal football shirt on to court in tribute to Diogo Jota, it has been claimed.
