‘It was sneaky’: Texas VFW responds to new hemp-derived THC ban in spending bill signed by Trump
A new law federally restricting hemp-derived THC products was added to the funding bill that ended the longest Government shutdown in U.S. history. A move officials with the Texas Department of the Veterans of Foreign Wars says has veterans worried.

Within the legislation to end the longest-ever government shutdown is language that would ban hemp-derived THC products that have anything more than 0.4 milligrams of THC or other cannabinoids that could produce a high per container.
Current federal law allows the sale of hemp-derived THC products if they contain no more than 0.3 percent THC by dry weight. The language in the deal enforces a total THC limit of 0.4 milligrams and effectively prohibits those products for personal or household use.
