Four people were killed and 14 were injured in a drive-by shooting in Chicago's River North neighborhood July 2, police said.

Police in Chicago are dealing with a shooting in which multiple people were hit. The Chicago Police Department told Newsweek that no further information on the location or number of people affected was immediately available. A city official told CBS Chicago that 19 people were shot and three of them were killed in a drive-by shooting.

The carnage erupted in the River North neighborhood, on the 300 block of West Chicago Avenue, when a vehicle pulled up to a location and at least one gunman opened fire on a crowd standing outside.
