Simone Johnson's time as WWE NXT General Manager Ava has come to an end and now Shayna Baszler is ready to lay down the law on the silver brand.

WWE is reportedly expected to add "NXT" stars Kelani Jordan and Lola Vice to the women's "Royal Rumble 2026" match.

WWE NXT on Tuesday, January 27th, 2026, has four announced matches including three NXT title match qualifiers.

The next installment of WWE NXT on The CW is airing on January 27th. A new match has been added to the show lineup as Jaida Parker will go one-on-one with Nikkita Lyons. A preview of the match was written about on WWE’s official website:

"WWE NXT" was up in viewership for its January 27 episode, ahead of the February 3 ladder match to determine a new NXT Champion.

NXT opened with a recap of last week's New Year's Evil episode before we went live in the arena with Ava holding the NXT title. She said Oba Femi relinquished the title. We saw most of the men's roster surrounding the ring, but once man felt the need to have his own entrance.

On the January 20th episode of WWE NXT, Booker T made curious comments about Josh Briggs as he made his entrance. Booker stated, “Josh Briggs, like I say, this is a pivotal moment for this guy. WrestleMania is coming up, and you know what happens after WrestleMania, people start getting cut around here…”

Tuesday night’s WWE NXT episode averaged 674,000 viewers on The CW, up 10.8 percent from last week. It’s the best audience total for the show since October 14 and is the second-highest viewership for NXT since Nielsen started using its new Big Data + Panel rating system.
