Southern University introduced Marshall Faulk as the program’s new football coach. The NFL legend from New Orleans answered questions at his first press conference, explaining why he chose to lead the Jaguars as his first head coaching job.

In the Class 2A game, Pa. Southern Columbia returned to the summit of state football in Pa. with a 43-22 victory over District 10 champ Farrell. Southern Columbia (15-1) was led by its ground game as Grady Garcia ran for 110 yards and three touchdowns, while Joey Williams and Brayden Andrews also ran for TDs.

Southern Lehigh, which has already secured its winningest season in program history, has built upon last year’s trip to the PIAA semifinals, where it fell to eventual state champion Bonner & Prendergast. The Spartans are trying to become just the third Colonial League squad to win a PIAA football title (Wilson, 2006; Northwestern Lehigh, 2024).
