A fire broke out at a home in Preston County on Friday, prompting a response from several crews.

According to a Facebook post by the department, crews were alerted to a fire at the Lignetics pellet plant (formerly known as Appalachian Wood Pellets) just after 11 p.m.

One person was killed in a house fire in Preston County over the weekend, according to the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office.
