Metal Gear Solid 4 fans have been waiting for this game to move off the PS3, and that might happen soon. Konami producer offers a statement.

With Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater due out later in 2024, and Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 nearly a year old, thoughts have inevitably turned to what’s next for the Metal Gear series from franchise custodian Konami.

Master Collection Vol. 1 is the “first in a new collection of games from the legendary series.” Hinting at more future collections, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriot may finally come to modern consoles.

The next installment in Konami’s Metal Gear Solid Master Collection has yet to be officially confirmed or announced, even as fans find evidence of it and reports surface of its existence. So it’s weird that Konami is still playing coy about Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and other games getting new ports.

Konami is releasing classic Metal Gear Solid games on modern platforms through Master Collections to put the series back in the spotlight. While a Metal Gear Solid 4 port has not been confirmed, there is hope from fans that it will come to modern platforms one day.
