Nintendo has officially confirmed The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time will be 'reborn' with upgraded graphics for Switch 2, coming sometime in 2026.
The next entry in Nintendo's long-running tactical role-playing series will land on September 17, 2026, exclusive to Switch 2. This is the first major launch in the franchise since 2023's Switch game Fire Emblem: Engage, which followed 2019's hugely successful Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
The iconic game closed out Nintendo's June 2026 Direct. The final announcement from today’s Nintendo Direct was The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. A remake of the 1998 adventure game, Ocarina of Time is set to launch this year on the Nintendo Switch 2.
