According to German tech publication DruckerChannel (auf Deutsch), all HP LaserJet printers that carry an "e" suffix such as the Laserjet M110we are being discontinued, and the company will no longer offer LaserJet products with HP+. It is understood that existing customers that own these devices will continue to be able to use them.

Customers unhappy with the product The maker of expensive printer ink, HP, has had to stop making its cheaper e-series LaserJet printers because customers were hacked off with the online-only and always-tied-to-HP+ subscription requirements.

HP+ and Instant Ink have come under fire from customers due to their reliance on an active internet connection.

People hate printers. They have tons of breakable moving parts and they require expensive ink refills. But it was even worse when HP started making printers that required 24/7 online connectivity and blocked third-party ink cartridges via DRM.

HP, lately famed for selling scanners that run out of ink and whose CEO described its own customers as a "bad investment," is giving up on one contemptuous product line: the e-series printers that won't print if they don't have an internet connection.
