Snow is continuing to fall in some communities Sunday morning, but radar estimates so far show most of us have at least 6 inches on the ground.
A snowstorm is on the horizon, but the annual Grand Rapids Public Schools Turkey Trot held on Thanksgiving Day, has already seen 6,200 registrants as of Wednesday morning for the Thursday 5K.

Winter weather impacts holiday travel for some
As winter weather sweeps across West Michigan ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, some travelers are delaying their trips while others are pushing through with extra precautions.
According to Climate Central, average winter temperatures across 239 U.S. cities have warmed 3.9 °F since 1970. In Grand Rapids specifically, winters have warmed by 5.5°F, and we now average 21 more warmer-than-normal winter days than in the early 1970s.
