A humpback whale was found beached after being entangled in fishing gear in Yachats, Oregon, on Saturday evening.

The whale was seemingly healthy but was caught up in derelict fishing lines offshore, which caused it to become beached.

Witnesses helped to free the whale from fishing line on Saturday night. Officials are assessing the situation.
