The National Hurricane Center's 2 p.m. Wednesday update reported that Category 1 Hurricane Imelda is in the Atlantic Ocean, 395 miles west-southwest of Bermuda. Packing maximum sustained winds of 90 mph, the hurricane is tracking east-northeast at 21 mph.

Hurricane Imelda formed off the southeastern U.S. coast on Tuesday morning, and forecasters say the deadly storm will likely strengthen and could become a Category 2 hurricane as it approaches Bermuda later this week.
Gabrielle is a strong Category 2 hurricane over the Atlantic, and two tropical waves may become named storms that have the potential to impact the Southeast U.S. coast.
