Cid Little Elk of Questa caught a 20-inch brown trout on the Rio Grande using a black, balanced, leech-pattern fly on Jan. 24.
Trout fishing has picked up slightly at both Wildhorse and South Fork with the cooler water temperatures and it should continue to improve as the temperatures cool.
