Hurricane Imelda is not expected to make landfall in the U.S., but could still affect the East Coast, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Tropical Storm Imelda is growing stronger as it moves slowly north off Florida's coast.

Imelda was threatening parts of Cuba and the Bahamas with heavy rainfall and flash flooding, with portions of the Bahamas under a tropical storm warning.
