The Harris Co. Precinct 4 Constable's Office posted about the child's death a little before 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.

A 7-year-old boy drowned in a north Houston residential swimming pool Wednesday evening, according to law enforcement officials. Harris County Constable Precinct 4 deputies responded to a call of an unresponsive male found in a swimming pool in the 7300 block of Fox Forest Trail around 7 p.

Upon arriving, emergency responders attempted to give the child CPR but he was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS workers, according to the constable's office.

Authorities are on the scene after a 7-year-old boy was found unresponsive in a pool in Harris County on Wednesday evening, authorities said.
