On the same day he got elected to start an All-Star Game for the first time, Francisco Lindor was dropped from the leadoff spot with the New York Mets in a major tailspin.

Lindor was the only Met announced as a starter. Freddie Freeman beat out Pete Alonso at first base (61 percent to 39), and Juan Soto finished fifth among outfielders. Ronald Acuña Jr., former Mets prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong and Kyle Tucker will start in the outfield for the National League.

With Francisco Lindor shifting into the Mets' No. 2 spot, the Mets look lineup sprung to life in a 6-3 victory over the Brewers on Wednesday night.
