India’s government is finalizing rules to cut down visa delays for Chinese technicians, responding to complaints from businesses who say the restrictions are hurting the country’s ability to become a manufacturing hub.

India is moving towards streamlining visa procedures for Chinese technicians amidst concerns from businesses about prolonged delays affecting the country's manufacturing ambitions. The government plans to cut visa processing times from five months to just 30 days,

IMF said in an update to its World Economic Outlook that the Indian economy’s rise in growth outlook comes on the back of improving private consumption, particularly in rural areas.

The International Monetary Fund has upgraded its economic outlook this year for China, India and Europe while modestly lowering expectations for the United States and Japan.

While the IMF takes a bullish stance toward China and India’s economic outlook, the U.S. could see a slowdown in growth momentum.
