The Miami office of the National Weather Service called for a rainy weekend ahead in Florida, and the coast is still facing a high rip current risk from the swells left behind by Hurricane Imelda.

Forecasts for early October indicate that there's almost certainly more activity to come. On Oct. 2, two new potential storms were developing.

Forecasters say PTC Nine could intensify into a tropical storm over the weekend as it tracks through the Bahamas.

The National Hurricane Center had plenty to watch on Tuesday in the tropical Atlantic Ocean. There was Hurricane Gabrielle, a Category 3 hurricane with 125 mph winds that was tracking away from Bermuda on Tuesday night.

Hurricane forecasters expect a tropical storm to in the Atlantic. Remnants of Tropical Storm Mario are likely to bring rain to Southern California.

The National Hurricane Center says they are tracking a tropical wave that will soon move off Africa and into the eastern Atlantic. Forecasters are only giving the disturbance a low chance of development over the next week.
