Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence in his country’s eventual victory in the nearly four-year war against its neighbor.

Russia's defense ministry has continued to defend the claim, even though it admitted it has no proof, and said Ukraine launched 91 drones against Putin's home in northwestern Russia and that all drones were intercepted and did not hit the residence, CNN reported.

As the war grinds on, sophisticated Russian defenses have pushed Ukraine to develop a frightening new weapon: semiautonomous killing machines.

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Leaders from Europe and Canada held talks Tuesday on U.S.-led peace efforts to end the nearly four-year war between Russia and Ukraine, as Moscow and Kyiv sparred over Russian claims, denied by Ukraine, of a mass drone attack on a lakeside residence used by President Vladimir Putin.

Oil output in Kazakhstan declined by around 6% in December, led by a fall at the vast Chevron-led Tengiz oilfield after a Ukrainian drone attack damaged Russia's Black Sea exporting terminal, an industry source said on Monday.

The talks come after days of heavy Russian missile and drone attacks and as negotiators say a U.S.-backed peace plan is nearing completion.
