MLB launched a brief investigation into recent remarks from Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora in which he hinted that pitcher Brayan Bello may have intentionally thrown at (or behind) New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge during their weekend matchup.

The manager essentially acknowledged the Red Sox were trying to hit Judge on Sunday. Cora spoke to officials on Monday, and the issue is now considered closed.

In the sixth inning of Saturday's game, Red Sox starter Brayan Bello faced Aaron Judge and threw the first pitch behind his knees, missing the Yankees slugger. On Sunday, Cora appeared to admit that this was when the Red Sox were trying to even the score by hitting Judge on purpose.
