Over the last several days, the National Weather Service has done a great job detailing the various winter storm warnings that have deeply affected many people. While that is an extremely useful service that the agency provides,
On Friday at 2:18 a.m. EST the National Weather Service issued an updated winter weather advisory in effect until 9 a.m. EST for Antrim, Otsego, Kalkaska and Crawford counties.
The advisory was for Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Oregon, Lower Columbia Basin of Oregon, Foothills of the Southern Blue Mountains of Oregon and North Central Oregon.
There is only supposed to be less than .2 of an inch of accumulation during the snowfall, the weather service said.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory across southern Wisconsin lasting throughout the day Dec. 29.
On Saturday at 2:51 a.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated lake effect snow warning in effect until 7 a.m. for Onondaga County.
At 12:43 p.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory in effect until 7 p.m. for Warren and McKean counties.

Warm weather to start 2026!
As we wrap up the first weekend of the new year, we are already looking forward to warmer weather next week. The National Weather Service Temperature Outlook for next week is showing that we will be getting temperatures warmer than average for the first full week of the new year.
