At full retail the shoes would be grossly over priced in my opinion. However, for what you and I paid I think it is quite fair.

I recently (couple of months ago) purchased a pair of Bally Switzerland slip-ons which I have used regularly: It's very well-made with a calfskin upper and leather soles and sewn, not glued, construction. It's an excellent shoe.

WEBMar 8, 2007 · I have a pair from the platinum line which are well made. Leather seems to crease more than some other similar quality shoes (C&J, Grensons, etc). I also have a pair of suede chukas which I wear on a regular basis and they have held up extremely well. Bruno Magli also seem to make some crappy models so be careful.

WEBJan 12, 2011 · Bruno Magli makes a great shoe! The leather is very soft, and the shoe is very comfortable. I have also had good luck with Santoni. They make an excellent shoe too. Ferragamo may be popular, but in my opinion it runs narrow and does not fit me as well as Bruno Magli or Santoni. At the $500 price point you may also want to look at Gucci.
